Managing your Insurance Leads – Better

Having problems managing your insurance leads? License classes do not focus too much on sales and management. That’s why many agents fall in the trap of losing their leads. The license does not guarantee that an agent has effective sales skills. It is a skill that they have to learn on the process while following leads.

The best way to make sure that your pipeline is clean is to tag them. Computers make this work easier for you. Provide legends for your tags. Here are some tags that you can consider.

1. Hot

These clients are the millimeters away to closing a deal.  You have personally qualified them. You have also confirmed that they can afford the plan that they want to avail of and just need your help for a final decision.

2. New

These insurance sales leads have just come in. There are no personal, over the phone or mail connections yet. This would also include leads that you have attempted to call several times but got no answers yet

3. Current clients

Current clients are those that are up for renewals. It is best to contact current clients’ months before their policy expires to maintain retention rates.

Also, recently added clients belong to this. DO not forget the date so that you won’t get mixed up.

4. Lead Nurturing

For varied reasons, most clients are interested but are not yet ready to buy a policy. Do not abandon them. It might take them a few more time to decide.

5. Invalid Leads

If you had been trying to reach your prospects but still don’t get answers, lead providers usually provide seven to 10 days for you to return invalid leads.

6. Dormant

There are prospects that you had been nurturing or had qualified but are not responding to your follow-up calls or messages. Do not completely abandon them but do not focus too much time on them.

Having a systemized pipeline will not only help you track the status of your leads but also monitors your sales status. Increasing or decreasing sales must be properly monitored because it would serve as a reminder whether you are losing your track or not.
